This weekend, I traded in the Georgia pines for palm trees and Gulf Coast breezes! I headed to Biloxi, Mississippi with two of my favorite people—my daughter and my dad—for a mini getaway that blends beachy relaxation, casino excitement, and quality time across three generations. From the sparkling shores of the Mississippi Sound to the vibrant energy of the IP Casino Resort Spa, this trip promised something for everyone.

3. Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art For a unique art fix, this museum—designed by Frank Gehry—offers contemporary and Gulf Coast-themed exhibitions. Great for solo wandering or mother-daughter art time.
4. Beauvoir: The Jefferson Davis Home & Presidential Library History buffs will love this! A beautiful estate with Civil War history and ocean views.

Hailey and I soaked up the sun (and got a little too much of it 🌞) at the IP rooftop pool and Jacuzzi, which was the perfect spot for relaxing between our casino runs.
And on the way home, we took a detour to tour the USS Alabama in Mobile, Alabama—an unexpected but fascinating stop that added a historical layer to our fun-filled trip.
We ate like royalty with sushi at Tien, coastal seafood, and tasty snacks throughout the weekend. Biloxi truly delivered the perfect mix of entertainment, relaxation, and family connection.
